How It Works

From customer call to your phone — fully automated.

  1. 01

    The Call Comes In

Your customer dials the number on your truck. Your advertised business line never changes.

  2. 02

    Apex Answers

The AI dispatcher answers as your business, collects the problem, service address, and callback number. No caller reaches voicemail.

  3. 03

    Emergency Escalation

Apex checks your dispatch rules in real time. Burst pipes, no heat, and other critical issues are patched straight to your cell.

  4. 04

    Routine Calls Logged

Non-urgent requests are captured with full caller details — name, address, problem, and callback number — organized for your morning review.

You define the emergency criteria. Apex executes them.

What You Control

Your rules. Your customers. Your phone. Your time.

Demo

Hear It Before You Trust It

One demo call. No signup, no credit card, no follow-up.

Call my phone

It rings in about ten seconds. No signup, no card, no spam.

Example 1: After-Hours Emergency

  1. Apex AI

Thanks for calling, this is the dispatcher. What's going on?

  2. Caller

The furnace quit overnight and it's eleven degrees in the house.

  3. Apex AI

No heat in this weather is an emergency. I'm patching you to the on-call technician now. What's the best callback number?

  4. Caller

    519-555-0143.

  5. Apex AI

Got it. Passing this straight through now.

Result: Your phone rings at 2 AM because it should.

Example 2: After-Hours Routine

  1. Apex AI

Thanks for calling, this is the dispatcher. What's going on?

  2. Caller

My thermostat screen is blank. It's not urgent, just want it looked at.

  3. Apex AI

That isn't an emergency, so I'll log it for the morning rather than wake the on-call technician. What's the service address?

Result: Logged and queued. Your phone never rang.

These are scripted examples showing how the dispatcher behaves: two sentences at most, one question at a time, escalation decided by your rules. They are not recordings of real customer calls.

Who You're Working With

One founder. Local. Accountable.

Dante Marco, founder of Apex AI

Dante Marco

Founder, Apex AI

I'm Dante Marco. I founded Apex after recognizing a clear need: too many HVAC and plumbing business owners were losing sleep over 2 AM calls that often turned out to be routine or non-urgent.

I write the software, provision each line personally, and respond directly when something needs attention. Based in Kitchener-Waterloo, Apex exists to solve one focused problem: ensuring you do not have to personally answer every routine call just to avoid missing the one that truly matters.

Apex is early. There are no testimonials here yet because we do not have enough customers to quote honestly, and a fabricated review would say everything you need to know about how this business is run.

For you, that means your setup is handled by the founder, your rules are written with care, and your change requests go directly to the person who can implement them. When real customers have feedback worth sharing, their words will appear here with a name, company, and location. Until then, review the demo and decide for yourself.

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers to the questions you'd ask before letting anything else answer your phone.

Do I have to change my business number?

No. You keep the number on your truck. A conditional forwarding code on your handset sends unanswered calls to the Apex line. Your advertised number never changes.

What if I want to answer the phone myself?

Then answer it. The setup uses conditional forwarding on Rogers, Bell, and Telus networks. Calls only route to Apex when your line is busy, unanswered, or out of service.

To disable forwarding entirely, dial #004# from your handset. To re-enable, dial *004*18337030493#. You control it directly from your own phone.

What if it wakes me for something that isn't an emergency?

Escalation follows the rules you write: your trades, your weather thresholds, your definition of urgent. If a call clearly doesn't match your criteria, it is logged — not forwarded.

When a call is genuinely ambiguous, Apex errs toward waking you. A false alarm costs minutes; a missed burst pipe costs a customer. If a call is misclassified, tighten your rules. Changes apply to the next call.

What if my customer doesn't want to talk to AI?

Apex doesn't pretend to be human. It answers as your dispatcher, asks one question at a time, and keeps responses to one or two sentences. It will not quote prices, promise arrival times, or guarantee repairs.

If a caller requests a human, Apex has already captured their number and problem summary, so you can return the call fully informed.

How do I review the calls Apex handles?

Every call is transcribed with the problem, service address, callback number, and caller name.

Delivery method is configured during onboarding based on your existing workflow. Contact dante@apexdispatch.app before signup to confirm the setup.

Can I cancel?

Yes. The $249 CAD monthly retainer includes a 14-day free trial. Cancel before it ends and you are never billed. After the trial, there is no minimum term and no cancellation fee. Cancel any month by emailing dante@apexdispatch.app.

The $499 CAD setup fee is charged at signup and is not part of the trial.

What happens after I pay?

Onboarding is handled personally — not by an automated wizard. You will receive an email within 24 hours to confirm your emergency rules and dispatch number.

Your line is provisioned and configured. You then dial one forwarding code on your handset, place a test call to confirm Apex answers as your business, and go live. Only forward your business line after you have verified the test call.

What Apex Is Not

The limits — from us, before you find out later.

Security

Built with security in mind.

What we do, and what we don't claim

What we do

  • Provider credentials stored server-side only — never in your browser
  • Rate-limited demo endpoints
  • Database access restricted to server-side roles
  • Unsigned webhook requests rejected
  • Phone numbers truncated in logs
  • Infrastructure hosted exclusively with established providers

What we don't claim

Apex does not currently hold SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar third-party certification. When that changes, it will be stated here with verifiable documentation. We would rather tell you exactly what we do than display a badge we haven't earned.

Privacy

When you request a demo, we collect your phone number and technical data such as your IP address to place the call and prevent abuse. Call audio may be transcribed by our voice provider, Vapi, for quality assurance and routing. We do not use your number for marketing. Full details in the Privacy Policy.

Email reaches one person, not a support queue. Replies come from the engineer who wrote the software — because that is the same person.
